But relying on third party ordering platforms for online ordering makes consolidating data, retaining customers and accurate orders a challenge.

Judy Hodgson, Owner, was committed to relieving the employees burden from the way orders came in that would confuse the cooks and result in frustrated customers when orders were missed/misread. For example, orders coming involved having to be attentive to multiple tablets, making sense of the way the orders come in from third-parties, finding add-ons in special instructions that should have been charged to the consumer and reading long order notes on the order. Employees then manually entered the orders into their own in-store order system to have the orders print out as the cooks were used to reading the tickets. It was time-consuming and cumbersome. In addition, third parties were collecting long time customers email addresses and sending marketing emails to take them back to the third party platform to browse other restaurants to order from marketing them away from Lamppost Pizza.

The Solution

When Hodgson was introduced to SantizoTek’s Products/Services she recognized how, “The in-house Online Ordering piece would solve a lot of small issues, while the online ordering formatting would solve our core issue,” of auto printing orders to the kitchen in a format and verbiage the cooks are used to. SantizoTek would enable the restaurant to easily track and manage online traffic and orders in real-time, and management to streamline accurate reporting and forecasting based on live sales data. With SantizoTek, Lamppost Pizza found a solution to keep their “hands closer to having control of online ordering” and rely less on 3rd parties for incoming online orders.
